At the end of the project we hope to encourage to HEIs to improve their practices to deal with non-traditional learners in vulnerable situations and to improve their access and retention at university. On completion of the project, we expect partner institutions to implement efficient strategies and policies to facilitate the social inclusion of students and head of departments and vice-rectorate of students’ affaires to include in their agenda measures to improve university access and retention. In addition, as a follow-up process to the project we expect the network created during the project lifetime between different stakeholders at regional and European level to represent a reference point for other institutions in relation to social inclusion issues.

To intellectual outputs and events of the project are the follow:

  • Report of the different understandings of vulnerable groups and non-traditional students in Europe
  • Bank of good practices related to the inclusion, continuation and success of non-traditional students across the partner countries
  • ACCESS4ALL Self-assessment tool - Mapping of dimensions of the ACCESS4ALL HEIs
  • Strategic planning model for equitable access and success of non-traditional students in Higher Education
  • Specific training programme for key university actors
  • Design and implementation of institutional Strategic Plans (one per participant institution) for Inclusion (and its monitoring reports)
  • Laboratory of Social development in Higher Education

Furthermore, results from the project will be added derived from the management, dissemination and quality assurance activity of the project as follows:

  • Project handbook
  • 2 Interim reports on progress
  • 1 final project report
  • 1 Quality plan (included in the project handbook)
  • Attendance at 4 academic conferences (and therefore, 4 communications and/or posters)
  • 4 papers about equity and inclusion in HEd. published in indexed journals
  • 2 books derived from E1 & E2

In addition, other expected results of the projects will be: project handbook, project quality plan, two books derived from the expected outputs, interim reports, platforms as blogs or webs to promote the project news and outcomes and posters and leaflets will be published and make available to project targets and stakeholders.
