UMEI - Universites du Maghreb: Enseignement Inclusif
The aim of this bi-lingual (French and English) project is to improve access to universities in the Maghreb – Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia – for three target groups: students with disabilities, students from low socio-economic backgrounds, and those from geographical regions. It aims to raise awareness, develop a strategy and policy of democratization of access to Maghreb universities and facilitate the transfer of knowledge, skills and expertise from the European partners. More specifically, the role of the European partners is to support the creation and implementation, within Maghreb universities, of an Assistance Unit of Awareness, Support and Mediation (CASAM), and to develop a training manual for academic and administrative staff, senior management and students.
